Position Overview:
As a Floor Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of various flooring surfaces within our facilities. Your role will involve a range of tasks aimed at maintaining high standards of hygiene and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform stripping and waxing of floors to maintain their shine and integrity.
2. Execute high-speed buffing of hard floor surfaces.
3. Utilize spin bonnet techniques and steam extraction for carpet cleaning.
4. Conduct spot cleaning of carpets and perform routine sweeping and mopping of floors.
Work Schedule:
Sunday to Thursday, from 6 PM to 2:30 AM, with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00, based on experience.
Incentives:
Eligible for a $250 bonus after 60 days of employment and an additional $250 after 120 days.
Job Duties:
Utilize dust mops and wet mops to maintain cleanliness. Operate floor machines for buffing, scrubbing, and stripping hard surfaces. Apply floor finishes appropriately to various surfaces. Conduct weekly stripping and waxing of designated areas and perform regular carpet shampooing and extraction. Carry out daily carpet spotting as required.
This position involves physical activity, including pulling and pushing machinery, and using swaying motions while operating floor machines.
Occasional janitorial tasks may also be part of your responsibilities.Qualifications:
Applicants must possess knowledge of operating buffers and wet vacuum machines, as well as the proper techniques for applying floor finishes. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.
