Underwater Operations Specialist

Position Summary
Global Diving & Salvage, LLC is currently in search of an Underwater Operations Specialist. This role will report directly to the Regional Dive Operations Manager. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting dives and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor;
- Ensuring that personal diving gear is functioning properly and appropriate for the intended dive;
- Comprehending the dive plan thoroughly and demonstrating competence in executing the assigned tasks;
- Being familiar with routine and emergency protocols;
- Reporting any medical issues or symptoms experienced during or following the dive;
- Identifying and documenting any equipment malfunctions, potential risks, near misses, or incidents;
- Maintaining an accurate logbook and obtaining Supervisor's signature after each dive.
Essential Qualifications
- Prior maritime experience and familiarity with diving support apparatus;
- Comprehensive understanding of industry standards for equipment;
- All personnel must be legally authorized to work in the United States;
- Possession of a valid driver's license and car insurance, along with a driving record for the past three years;
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation;
- Submission of the last four dive logs;
- Current certifications for all diver-owned equipment (e.g., helmet, tanks, etc.);
- Possession of a current diving physical or capability to pass one;
- Capacity to wear a commercial diving helmet weighing 25-30 lbs for approximately four hours daily;
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions: rain, sleet, storms, snow, heat, etc.;
- Flexibility to work on remote or distant projects for extended periods;
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly;
- Availability 24/7 based on project or emergency response requirements;
- Current ADCI Card;
- Oxygen Provider/DANO2 certification;
- First Aid/CPR certification;
- Eligibility to enter or become a member of a local union.
Required Experience
Graduation from a commercial diver training program accredited by the Association of Diving Educators (ACDE) or equivalent recognized by IMCA is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of underwater diving experience;
- 1-3 years of experience within the construction sector;
- Possession or ability to obtain a TWIC Card;
- Willingness to work internationally;
- IMCA Certified/International Certification cards;
- NITROX/Enriched Air Oxygen certification;
- HAZWOPER certification;
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction course completion certificate.
