Position Summary:

The Access Registration - Patient Business Services Representative II plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient registration of patients for both hospital and physician services. This position requires adaptability in understanding complex healthcare systems to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and physician offices, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of collected information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute Access Registration duties with a focus on exceeding productivity benchmarks.
  2. Facilitate patient registration post-clinical assessment by verifying health plan coverage.
  3. Accurately record patient demographics and health plan details.
  4. Support insurance verification and authorization processes.
  5. Engage with physician offices and payers to follow up on eligibility and authorizations.
  6. Maintain high-quality standards and accuracy in all accounts managed.
  7. Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
  8. Ensure timely follow-up on assigned accounts to prevent revenue loss.
  9. Act as a resource for team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  10. Document all actions taken and next steps for account resolution in the patient accounting system.

Compliance and Standards:

Adhere to all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies, ensuring clear and accurate documentation of all interactions related to accounts.

Professional Development:

Stay informed about industry regulations and participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical or physician office setting.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office applications.
  • Experience with EPIC is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in clinic or hospital registration.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, TCPA, and FCC communication regulations.
  • Familiarity with various insurance payers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
