Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, leading a team of cooks, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
  • Lead a team of cooks, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
  • Develop and implement menu items, ensuring they meet our high culinary standards.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and develop culinary staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, inventory management, and team leadership.
  • Strong culinary knowledge, including butchering, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
