Position Overview

The Bulk Account Merchandiser (BAM) plays a crucial role in selling, ordering, and showcasing products. This position is accountable for promoting new items and special offers, collaborating with clients to ensure accurate product orders, executing commercial strategies across their assigned accounts, and merchandising products using safe handling practices while adhering to all quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees, sells, and implements strategies for a designated group of clients on daily, pre-scheduled routes, generating sales orders based on the assigned delivery schedule to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance in terms of revenue, volume, and gross profit.
  • Implements relevant promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing campaigns, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial strategies to ensure high performance in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned clients.
  • Stocks, displays, and rotates products on shelves and displays according to established procedures and special programs.
  • Organizes and maintains storage areas by arranging products by package and flavor, coordinating the return of empty pallets and shells, and managing damaged or expired products.
  • Creates and distributes point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where allowed. Rotates products and manages Fastlane merchandising and vendor checks to ensure proper operation.
  • Builds and maintains business relationships with store personnel through regular follow-ups on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and discussions about upcoming activities.
  • Identifies and communicates any competitive challenges or market trends that could affect the business (e.g., pricing, new packaging, changes in business strategy) and performs all job duties safely.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Effective communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Previous customer service experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting (lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly).
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Post-secondary education beyond high school is preferred.
  • High initiative and eagerness to learn.
  • Career-oriented mindset and a competitive spirit.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Proof of insurance policy to verify current coverage of liability and property damage.
  • High School Education / GED.
