Account Executive Job Overview

OBJECTIVE

The Account Executive is tasked with representing SMC Corporation of America in all business engagements related to the support of existing customer and distributor accounts. This role also encompasses the creation and cultivation of new business partnerships to enhance market presence and drive growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retains and expands sales through proactive oversight of key strategic accounts and SMC distributors.
  • Showcases SMC's capabilities, services, and product offerings to both current and prospective customers and distributors.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for assigned customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Guides the sales process and collaborates with team members to provide effective solutions.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction by anticipating service challenges and gathering feedback.
  • Prepares detailed sales forecasts and nurtures relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Employs SMC tools to maintain organizational consistency.
  • Aims to meet or surpass sales targets established by management.
  • Generates market reports and manages SMC resources efficiently.
  • Enhances professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and workshops.
  • Guides new sales professionals on SMC strategies and best practices.
  • Records sales activities and fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of sales experience within SMC or a comparable industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SMC products and competitive landscape.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic components and SMC operational policies.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and capable of learning new software.
  • Possesses a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Occasional travel and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of SMC products.
