Position: Lead Electrical Engineer

Travel Requirement: 10% travel

Role Summary

The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee all facets of low, medium, and high voltage power distribution systems across commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. This role will operate under the guidance of Enginuity Professional Engineers and will encompass project oversight, budget management, proposal creation, adherence to code standards, field data acquisition, verification of design and drafting documentation, equipment specification, development of construction scopes, client interaction, and team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Lead Engineers at Enginuity Global leverage their technical proficiency in various areas, including:

  • Power System Design: Providing technical guidance during pre-sales engineering consultations, creating front-end onelines, equipment layouts, and short circuit calculations for equipment specifications.
  • Power System Analysis: Conducting short circuit evaluations, coordination time-current curve analysis, and arc flash assessments.
  • Power Monitoring and Integration: Utilizing software such as ION Enterprise and ETAP E-SCADA, along with hardware like SEL RTAC and GE G500.
  • Protection Schemes and Power Controls: Designing protection and control systems for various facilities and programming protective relays.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing proposals and quotations.
  • Providing technical consultation during pre-sales engineering discussions.
  • Managing client expectations and leading project execution.
  • Collaborating within a project team to produce comprehensive design documents and drawings.
  • Creating solutions for complex power system engineering challenges.
  • Traveling as required for project needs.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety and legal requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana.
  • Experience with NEC code for construction design.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to respond to hazardous situations.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and climbing.
