Role Summary

The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee all facets of power distribution systems, including low, medium, and high voltage, within commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. This role entails project oversight, budget management, proposal formulation, adherence to code standards, field data acquisition, and verification of design documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project deliverables and timelines while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance during pre-sales engineering consultations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for complex electrical engineering challenges.
  • Supervise the creation of design documents and drawings, including wiring diagrams and material lists.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of power systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a strong background in:

  • Power System Design: Experience in developing equipment specifications, managing vendor interactions, and overseeing construction scopes.
  • Power System Analysis: Proficiency in performing short circuit calculations, arc flash analysis, and compliance reviews.
  • Power Monitoring and Integration: Familiarity with software and hardware for power monitoring and control systems.
  • Protection Schemes: Expertise in designing protection and control systems for various facilities.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana
  • Knowledge of NEC code and safety systems
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to respond to hazardous situations and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
