Job Overview

Position Summary

Are you driven by a commitment to support children and their families? We are in search of empathetic and dedicated professionals who aspire to empower youth and families through sustainable, strength-based behavioral transformations.

As a part of our team, you will engage in continuous training focused on the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model. This involves collaborating closely with families, youth, their communities, and other vital stakeholders to effectively implement MST principles. Extensive research underscores the efficacy of MST in addressing the needs of juveniles facing challenges, including those related to criminal behavior and substance use. Your role will be pivotal in guiding families to navigate and overcome difficult behaviors, enabling youth aged 12–17 to achieve meaningful life changes. Treatment advancements will be facilitated through intensive interventions such as skill development, enhancing family dynamics, and bolstering social support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct clinical interventions utilizing the MST framework, emphasizing strengths and positive outcomes, understanding behavioral sequences, and fostering mature behaviors.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and their families, gathering insights on concerning behaviors and familial strengths to inform treatment strategies.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse clientele, demonstrating cultural competence.
  • Maintain knowledge of the various family structures within the community.
  • Actively involve primary caregivers, family members, and community agency staff in treatment processes aimed at fostering change.
  • Commit to regular case planning and progress evaluations, supported by your supervisor and colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your clinical skills within the MST model.
  • Ensure clients have access to support services around the clock, collaborating with fellow clinicians.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related field. Professional licensure in a relevant area (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, LCSW, LPC) is preferred but not mandatory, or a Bachelor's degree in social services disciplines such as psychology, social work, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, or education.
  • Experience working with families in community-based settings.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to work with families in their home environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong clinical competencies.
  • Ability to tailor interventions to leverage family strengths.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with current insurance and a clean driving record.
  • Clear results from a criminal background check.
  • Must reside within a reasonable travel distance from the designated service area.
  • Pass a drug screening from the designated medical facility.
