Position Overview:

REVENUE COMPLIANCE AUDITOR

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Revenue Compliance Auditor is tasked with meticulously executing daily revenue assessments, which include the examination, evaluation, verification, and validation of financial documents to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential responsibilities that must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Upholds and promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Casino.
  • Conducts audits of daily revenue streams and other relevant casino data.
  • Investigates and resolves any discrepancies, inaccuracies, or missing information.
  • Gathers supporting documentation for any unusual or potentially questionable data.
  • Develops and implements regular audit schedules and protocols.
  • Inputs daily data into revenue audit reports, generates reports, and reviews documentation for precision.
  • Prepares journal entries, monitors promotional coupons utilized on-site, and records variances along with other accounting tasks.
  • Regularly reconciles general ledger accounts and analyzes discrepancies.
  • Adheres to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Compiles, verifies, and distributes daily operational reports.
  • Drafts and maintains departmental audit procedures and checklists.
  • Assists in overseeing all financial operations on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Processes and analyzes data from various sources for reconciliation and compliance reporting.
  • Strives to achieve and maintain a high level of service and satisfaction across the property.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, confidentiality, and completeness of departmental records and reports.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, experience, and skills required for the role.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in auditing, preferably within the casino or hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; familiarity with financial software.
  • Solid background in audit methodologies and practices.
  • Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as financial reports and legal papers.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of company policies and departmental procedures.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is primarily local during business hours, though occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be flexible with their schedules to meet the operational needs of the property.


CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
This position does not involve the sale, service, or distribution of alcoholic beverages, nor does it carry comp authority. A NE Gaming License is required and must be secured and maintained.
