Job Overview

Oliver Machinery is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Service and Part Representative to join our team in Renton, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and part coordination for our woodworking machinery customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with woodworking machinery over the phone and in-person.
  • Assemble, test, and repair woodworking machinery as needed.
  • Process part orders for customers and ensure timely delivery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues with machinery motors.
  • Assess and resolve freight damage to machines.
  • Clean and maintain machines and parts.
  • Use various measuring tools and hand tools to perform tasks.
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with woodworking machinery and electrical systems.
  • Electrical Technician Certificate and mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum of two years troubleshooting experience in a customer service or production environment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components and electrical systems.
  • Experience using a volt-ohm meter and various electrical and mechanical tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with customers in a positive and calm manner.
  • Must be able to speak and read English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate in MS Office products.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through.

Work Environment:

This is a casual dress but professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
