Position Overview:
We have openings for two shifts: first shift (Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM) and second shift (Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1:30 AM, with shift differential).
We seek skilled Machinists who possess the drive and determination to excel in their craft. Ideal candidates will have the ability to set up, troubleshoot, and efficiently operate high-tolerance components on CNC mills and lathes. While experience in both areas is preferred, we encourage specialists in either field to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a mentoring atmosphere, aiding team members in their skill enhancement and career progression.
- Program jobs utilizing MasterCam 2024 or G/M codes to produce parts according to client specifications.
- Set up and operate various machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and CNC machines, to manufacture components per engineering specifications.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and engineering documents to determine the necessary machining processes, tools, and materials.
- Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and maintained, performing routine checks and adjustments for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to discuss project requirements, timelines, and design considerations, while troubleshooting potential challenges.
- Monitor machining operations to guarantee product quality and compliance with tolerance standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Conduct detailed inspections of finished components using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, implementing corrections to meet quality benchmarks.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote a safe and efficient environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience as a Machinist, showcasing proficiency in operating diverse machining equipment.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production.
- Knowledge of CNC programming (MasterCam experience is a plus) and operation is essential.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality output.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Adherence to safety regulations and best practices in machining.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with relevant safety standards.
