AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Merchandise Program Coordinator to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in the creation, execution, and oversight of merchandise initiatives that align with AAA's travel product objectives across various distribution platforms. The position is designed to ensure the effective delivery of the merchandise program while driving revenue growth, profitability, and expanding the program's reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, negotiate, and select vendors to support the merchandise program strategy.
  • Oversee merchandise program activities focusing on partnerships, pricing strategies, profitability, and promotional efforts.
  • Collaborate with content specialists and marketing teams to develop marketing concepts for various retail models, including Traditional, Explorer, CCIT, and Virtual Store formats.
  • Manage merchandise inventory levels by addressing demand fluctuations and logistics to optimize business efficiency.
  • Evaluate and adjust pricing strategies for the merchandise program to enhance profitability.
  • Provide training and resources for retail associates on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both preferred and non-preferred merchandise vendors.
  • Support Retail, online, and Contact Center channels with problem resolution, resource maintenance, and sales support.
  • Coordinate with product coordinators to ensure alignment of merchandise fulfillment processes and strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategy and content for Merchandise Programs at AAA Club Alliance events and seminars.
  • Manage ecommerce site functions, including product record input, pricing, and order processing.
  • Work with content specialists to devise and implement marketing and promotional strategies for merchandise awareness.
  • Establish and nurture a strong working relationship with the Distribution Channel management team to ensure program success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications with 3-5+ years of relevant experience in product management, marketing, retail operations, and various distribution channels. Relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience in Marketing/Sales, encompassing both traditional and digital approaches.
  • Solid understanding of Product Management, Inventory, and Vendor Management.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with vendor representatives, internal clients, and support departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills that foster open dialogue and collaboration. Ability to address complaints among various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within club territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
