Job Description

At National Guard Employment Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Supervisor to join our team. As an Operating Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising Special Forces/Revenue Protection Unit employees in the performance of field activities, scheduling and deploying employees to attain goals and objectives, and ensuring employees are adequately trained to perform their job functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Special Forces/Revenue Protection Unit employees in the performance of field activities
  • Schedule and deploy employees to attain goals and objectives
  • Ensure employees are adequately trained to perform their job functions
  • Assist in the development of reasonable expectancies and evaluate employee performance
  • Handle currency and verify counts for accuracy
  • Coordinate with other departments and external organizations on activities related to theft of service and revenue recovery
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 years work experience or Associate's Degree with 4 years work experience or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years work experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years work experience required with a minimum of 1 year of Customer Operations experience or equivalent experience demonstrating strong customer-focused responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and efficiently utilize significant equipment and human resources
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions
  • Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn new software applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Prior work experience in an operating environment
  • Knowledge of gas and/or electric meter installations, cycle meter reading, turn on/off of gas and/or electric meters, underground and overhead electric equipment, theft of service, and remote metering devices
  • Knowledge of CIS and Customer Operations Credit and Collections policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of work management systems, such as IRIS, Maximo, Work Management System, and/or CPMS
