Culinary Operations Supervisor at Manhattan Country Club

Manhattan Country Club is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Culinary Operations Supervisor. This position involves overseeing and executing advanced supervisory and preparatory tasks related to food production within the club's dining facilities. The Culinary Operations Supervisor will manage kitchen personnel, strategize food and equipment needs, and uphold stringent health and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and engage in food preparation for both restaurant and banquet services, ensuring compliance with all food safety protocols.
  • Assess food requirements and place orders as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Develop menu items and publish them as necessary to satisfy customer preferences and budgetary constraints.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is maintained in a clean and health-compliant manner.
  • Inspect and address maintenance issues concerning kitchen equipment.
  • Manage stock orders from vendors and assist with inventory management.
  • May oversee the setup and breakdown of club events.
  • Compile and deliver reports as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate actively in scheduled staff meetings.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the club's success by providing exceptional service and fostering positive interactions with staff and members.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by club or company management.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive culinary expertise and knowledge.
  • Understanding of safe food handling practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in culinary arts.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a chef or kitchen supervisor.
