Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Operations Supervisor. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the location Manager to oversee the daily functions of your Central Rock Gym site, which includes staffing, membership management, programming, events, route setting, payroll, communication, retail/rental equipment, and facility upkeep. You will lead by example to cultivate a fun and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a seamless operation and delivering an exceptional community experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all staff, members, and guests while ensuring the efficient operation of the facility.
- Assist in reporting, achieving targets, and managing payroll and expenses.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, marketing initiatives, and policy implementation, collaborating with corporate staff.
- Oversee retail operations, ensuring adequate stock levels, accurate inventory, and the introduction of new products.
- Support staffing and scheduling management, including hiring, performance evaluations, and addressing employee concerns.
- Ensure staff are well-trained, knowledgeable, and equipped to support the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and high standards of equipment and facilities.
- Assist with incident reporting, safety assessments, and emergency response.
- Become an expert in all programs and services offered at Central Rock Gym.
- Help plan and execute location and brand events, including competitions, member nights, and special gatherings.
- Stay informed about trends in the climbing industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Flexible availability to work as needed, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
- Minimum of 2 years of climbing experience required.
- Ability to take initiative and make confident decisions with a keen attention to detail.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus; CWI, AMGA, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Approachable and energetic personality with effective team leadership skills.
- Experience with Google Suite is preferred.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and a strong team player.
