POSITION: Transit Operator

HOURS/STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Monday-Friday and weekends as required for events

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

LOCATION: Henrietta

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and professional transportation of clients to designated locations
  • Efficiently load and unload passengers from the vehicle
  • Guarantee securement during transit
  • Assist passengers to and from their destinations as necessary
  • Interpret and manage a manifest and schedule
  • Adhere to a timetable and complete assignments punctually
  • Maintain an accurate daily log of trips, mileage, and other pertinent information, submitting reports promptly
  • Stay in communication with the Supervisor regarding trip changes, issues, accidents, and scheduling needs
  • Inspect vehicle components such as tires, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, and safety equipment to ensure operational safety

Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage with passengers, colleagues, and clients in a respectful and courteous manner
  • Strong defensive driving skills
  • Proficient in reading maps and determining optimal routes
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience driving with a CDL License and passenger endorsement
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • CDL B and Passenger Endorsed License (mandatory)

SALARY:

$40,000-$45,000 ($20.19-$21.63 per hour)
