Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Transit Service is looking to hire a Bus Washer. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness of both the exterior and interior of transit buses, as well as handling bus fueling and parking duties. A valid Commercial Driver's License is a prerequisite for this position.

COMPENSATION: $16.97 per hour, full-time

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Union environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires physical stamina and the use of both power and hand tools. Work will be conducted outdoors in various weather conditions.

Applicants should be capable of:

  • Moving quickly through buses over considerable distances.
  • Demonstrating reliability and punctuality; being honest and a team player.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a valid Driver's License (must obtain a Class B permit with passenger endorsement before starting)
  • Maintaining a clean driving record

This position operates within a Union framework in collaboration with the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 282. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.
