Clinical Nursing Faculty

Chamberlain University is seeking a part-time Clinical Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a Clinical Nursing Faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a clinical setting, providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students, and implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
- Plan clinical experiences for and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives.
- Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
- Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College.
- May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.
- Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- A master's (MSN) or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state where scheduled for clinicals.
- BLS Certification is required.
- At least two years professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
