Position Overview:

Noon Energy, a pioneering company in advanced Long Duration Energy Storage solutions, is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer who will report directly to the CEO. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing the commercial strategy that will drive the company's growth trajectory. A profound understanding of current energy storage technologies is essential, enabling you to articulate the financial and product advantages of our solutions over competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Commercial Strategy Development: Spearhead the commercialization strategy in collaboration with the product team. Innovate business models that assess economic viability and future profitability.
  2. Partnership Development: Investigate diverse partnership frameworks with end-users and manufacturers for various applications of our technology. Negotiate and finalize agreements for project deployment, partnerships, and potential licensing. Collaborate with R&D, Finance, and Product teams to evaluate the feasibility and timelines for potential projects.
  3. Business Growth: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations to meet business goals. Gain insights into their needs and challenges to effectively position our energy storage solutions. Utilize existing connections in the renewables and stationary energy storage sectors to uncover future opportunities.
  4. Sales and Marketing Leadership: Oversee the sales and marketing teams, establishing performance benchmarks and providing strategic guidance. Formulate and implement marketing and branding initiatives to enhance the company's presence and reputation in the market.
  5. Public Representation: Act as a representative of Noon Energy in engagements with customer executives and at industry conferences globally. Deliver persuasive presentations that highlight the features, benefits, and return on investment of our energy storage solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis: Collaborate with the product team to develop go-to-market strategies and manage commercial operations. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting energy storage and renewable energy. Leverage market insights to refine commercial strategies and identify new business avenues.
  2. Government Relations: Foster strong relationships with key policymakers. Provide strategic insights on market design and regulatory issues related to long-duration storage, monitor developments, and offer recommendations.
  3. Financial Engagement: Assist in expanding relationships with lenders and financial institutions involved in stationary storage projects, including equity, debt, tax equity, and structured products. Future capital-raising efforts may involve government, strategic, and catalytic funding sources.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology and industrial sectors with integrated products in renewable energy (e.g., energy storage systems, hydrogen production, fuel cells).
  • Comprehensive understanding of stationary storage, macro and microeconomic trends, and potential business opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy storage technologies and their applications across various sectors.
  • Previous experience in commercial leadership roles within enterprise sales of complex technology products.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen for modeling storage revenues.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis, investment principles, and experience with tax equity and debt financing is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a technical degree is recommended; an advanced degree is preferred.

Compensation: Total compensation includes a competitive salary range, performance-based bonuses, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
