Position Overview:

This role involves outside sales responsibilities, focusing on promoting Sysco's products and services while fostering relationships with both new and existing clients. The primary goal is to support Sysco customers in achieving their success while meeting the sales and profit objectives set by the company. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate customer needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business opportunities, strengthen existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients in alignment with company account strategies.
  • Analyze customer needs and develop tailored product and service offerings.
  • Monitor market trends and suggest products to clients based on their business objectives.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings, sharing valuable insights with clients.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and usage.
  • Provide product knowledge and practical training to client personnel.
  • Utilize personal vehicle for client visits, company meetings, and events.
  • Manage accounts receivable in collaboration with the credit department, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate deliveries according to the transportation department's schedule and resolve any issues that arise during the order process.
  • Participate in company events, promotions, and customer engagements.
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions regularly.
  • Assist in training new team members as needed.
  • Review and analyze sales reports and other relevant data.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing budgets, maintaining records, and processing requests.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field, or a high school diploma with three years of relevant experience in Restaurant Management, B2B sales, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bi-lingual candidates are preferred. Experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef is advantageous.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required, along with current automobile insurance meeting specified liability limits.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of pre-employment testing.
  • Must sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to the designated sales territory.
