Specialist in Speech and Hearing

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist at the Hawaii State Department of Education. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $64,104 - $84,624, based on the location and requirements specified. The successful candidate will possess a master's degree from an accredited college or university in a speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders program approved by the ASHA, as well as experience working with students with various communication disorders.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Assess student communicative performance using specific methods or strategies
- Identify barriers that limit communicative performance in the natural environment through activity and environmental analysis
- Analyze and interpret findings, documenting and communicating results to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with team members to develop programming within specified time frames
- Provide speech-language services to address the unique needs of students, updating team members on progress and recommending changes or rescission of services when needed
This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension. If hired, you will become a part of our dedicated team committed to providing high-quality education to the people of Hawaii.
