Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Clinic Team Leader, you will:
  • Process payments, dispense and label medications, and review discharge documents with pet owners.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the safe handling of pets during wellness procedures, including vaccinations, nail trimming, and microchipping.
  • Collaborate with the office leadership team to mentor and inspire veterinary clinic assistants.
  • Engage in the professional development of veterinary clinic assistants, overseeing processes, procedures, and interactions with pet owners.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting surfaces and equipment between each pet visit.
  • Oversee all non-medical aspects of the clinic, including maintaining accurate pet records and timely reporting of incidents.
  • Share the responsibility of driving the clinic van, ensuring safe loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of our services and products.
  • Provide informed recommendations based on an understanding of canine and feline health issues tailored to each pet's lifestyle.
  • Foster a culture of safety within the clinic, embodying our values while reinforcing our brand promise with pet owners, partners, and team members.
  • Execute inventory management processes, maintaining accurate product counts and awareness of expiration dates for vaccines and medications.
  • Direct clinic operations through effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Participate in regular one-on-one meetings with office leadership for ongoing leadership development.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to pet owners by addressing inquiries and guiding them through the clinic experience.
  • Meet performance goals set by management, including revenue per pet, number of pets served, and sales of preferred products and microchips.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pet owners and partners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Availability to work weekends and varied weekdays, including occasional overnight shifts.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle for extended periods in various weather and terrain conditions.
  • Willingness to work outdoors as needed.
  • Capability to work long hours in the field, including shifts of 12-14 hours.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service and sales.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with computer devices (iPad, Bluetooth, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve objectives.
  • Comfort in engaging with customers to educate them about our services.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to consistently perform essential job functions safely and successfully in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant standards, including meeting productivity standards. Regular, punctual attendance is required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
