Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, including slitters, collectors, high-speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and other related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
  • Conduct building maintenance, including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
  • Work with little to no supervision and be able to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
  • Participate in on-call program and be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
  • 2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
  • Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on occasion, talk and hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment. This may cause risk of injury if safety procedures are not followed.

The work environment is often noisy and hearing protection is required.
