Shift:
This position primarily operates during 2nd shift hours, with variations based on operational requirements. Typical hours are Sunday through Thursday, 4pm - Midnight, with flexibility for alternative shifts as needed. Expect occasional Saturday work, usually 1-2 Saturdays per month.
Compensation:
Base Payrate: $65,000

Average Overtime (~10% OT): $9,096

Target Bonus (5%): $3,250 - $3,500

Total Compensation: $77,596

Position Responsibilities:

The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the cross-disciplinary operations of a radio pharmaceutical research and production facility.

This role involves collaborating with a team to deliver maintenance and service for cyclotron and radio chemistry synthesizers, ensuring optimal productivity and system uptime through effective time and resource management.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing service and maintenance on multiple cyclotrons and associated chemistry modules as assigned.
  • Monitoring and enhancing financial and operational performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, including EH&S, cGMP, Radiation Safety, and applicable pharmacy laws.
  • Participating in personnel training and development initiatives.
  • Responding promptly to service support requests.
  • Completing and submitting work history tickets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling work and managing spare parts usage to optimize costs and effectiveness.
  • Monitoring and improving uptime for site cyclotron systems.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of semi-complex product and equipment performance, recommending modifications and enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent military experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in servicing capital equipment and electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills (equipment assembly/disassembly).
  • 2+ years of experience in customer relationship management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the PET radioisotope production workflow is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong technical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot semi-complex issues.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering documents (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.).
  • Competence in using standard electronic test and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to safely operate in high voltage and radiation environments.
  • Consistent performance of all preventive maintenance tasks per standard operating procedures without external support.
