Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Microsoft Cloud Communications team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting reactive and proactive communications efforts, working closely with clients and the agency team to develop and execute compelling stories and news announcements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound requests from local, trade, and tech media, providing strategic recommendations to clients on engagement and managing responses with influencers.
  • Support agency leadership on reactive inquiries from business media and interviews with senior spokespeople.
  • Own distinct workstreams within proactive story motions, conducting market or media research, and developing internal and external-facing communications materials.
  • Pitch proactive stories and news to journalists.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships by contributing to the development and implementation of communication strategies, executing on projects, and monitoring, reporting, and providing insight around published stories and broader company news cycles.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2-3 years of experience in PR or marketing, preferably in an agency setting and/or within the high-tech industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Previous experience working with media and/or other influencer types, such as analysts, creators.
  • Experience developing written communications materials, including integrated communication plans, press releases, pitches, and social media content.
  • A high level of initiative, ability to be resourceful and independently problem-solve.
