Job Description

Job Summary:

Kennebec Pharmacy Home Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and providing a clear vision for the company's mission and commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop qualified home infusion staff.
  • Ensure the continued competency of all staff members.
  • Manage resources and inventory levels to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy team to continually measure and improve performance.
  • Maintain liaison with state and national associations to stay informed about industry issues and matters of importance.
  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to promote services and increase market share.
  • Direct and coordinate promotion of services to develop new markets and increase market share.
  • Manage department budget requests and allocate resources to achieve business objectives.
  • Review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine required changes in programs or operations.
  • Ensure the quality of services provided and staffing of the program is appropriate.
  • Oversee employee participation in the Improvement Organization Performance (IOP) program.
  • Provide regular updates to the VP of Pharmacy Services.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree and two to four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Pharmacy License in the State of Maine.
  • Proven leadership ability, personnel management, and teambuilding skills.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the VP of Pharmacy Services.
  • Direct reports include Home Infusion Pharmacy Staff.
  • Interviews, hires, and orientates team members.
  • Directs work expectations according to company goals.
  • Appraises performance.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Standard office setting with minimal noise level.
