Job Summary

The JCC East Bay is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Kids' Club TK Afterschool Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our afterschool program, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging educational environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for transitional kindergarten students.
  • Supervise and care for students during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Establish and maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team approach.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in childcare or a related field, with a focus on preschool or transitional kindergarten.
  • 48+ college credits, with a degree in Education or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead a classroom of children.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Benefits

The JCC East Bay offers a competitive salary range of $22.38/hour to $23.99/hour, as well as excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick pay, and holidays.
