Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts with various facilities and business ventures. You will work closely with our Compliance and other departments to ensure seamless contract management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and analyze a high volume of contract requests from facilities, Service Center, and affiliated business ventures.
  • Act as a liaison between Contracts and Compliance regarding physician compensation arrangements and billing matters.
  • Prepare amendments, addendums, and contract extension documents.
  • Process requests for contract termination and prepare termination letters.
  • Engage with outside counsel on contract issues and template changes.
  • Assist with contract and billing disputes with facility vendors and legal representatives.
  • Handle a high volume of requests for contract copies for facilities and the legal department.
  • Assist with real estate acquisition contract preparation, including weekly telephone meetings and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Maintain the contract management software and database information, including vendor data entry, setting reminders, running reports, and keeping facility information up to date.
Requirements
  • Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to attentively and efficiently review legal agreements.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements of HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statutes, Stark Laws, and other regulations governing the healthcare industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with contracts in a law firm or in-house legal department in a healthcare company.
  • Healthcare background strongly preferred.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, non-exempt position based at our Service Center in San Juan Capistrano, California. We offer access to our fully equipped onsite gym and support employee professional growth and development through our Learning Management System and training sessions.
