About the Role

Austal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Pricing and Contracts Department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract administration for assigned programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day contract administration activities, including supervising a team of contract specialists.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, contract modifications, agreements, and other contract-related documents.
  • Act as primary liaison and point of contact with customers and major subcontractors on formal communications and submittals.
  • Lead negotiations for new contracts and contract modifications, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain contract files, including proposals, contracts, correspondence, and modifications.
  • Assist in the management and resolution of accounting issues that impact contract performance and payment.
  • Develop and implement contract strategies, and lead new business pursuits and change management on existing contracts.
  • Assist all departments on issues of contract interpretation, and lead the effort on matters of contract dispute resolution.
  • Analyze and interpret contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • College degree in a related field required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of related experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, negotiating skills, and ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient with standard Microsoft office software and other generally used business software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance, if required.
