Position: Engineering Support / Warehouse Manager

Department: CMS Controls

Reporting To: DDC Construction Operations Manager

Position Summary

The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Additionally, the role involves assembling UL panels in the panel shop and assisting the engineering team in creating as-built drawings using Microsoft Visio, as well as managing material orders and tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Panel Assembly: Constructing UL panels (Low Voltage 24VAC).
  • Warehouse Oversight: Managing material reception, organization, and inventory maintenance through a Microsoft Excel database tailored for each project.
  • Shipping Coordination: Maintaining accurate records for shipments and material deliveries.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Ensuring cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Engineering Support: Assisting the engineering team with as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manual creation, and parts ordering.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain an updated to-do list.
  • Competent in using hand tools and interpreting wiring diagrams for UL panel assembly.
  • Possession of a valid NC driver’s license for occasional material deliveries.

  • Proactively identifying potential scheduling conflicts.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs for loading, unloading, and storing materials and equipment.
  • Physical activities include bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, balancing, kneeling, twisting, and standing.
  • Capability to climb stairs and ladders.
