Parking Services Guest Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general oversight of the Guest Experience Parking Supervisor, Coordinator, or Manager, the Parking Services Guest Attendant is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of parking and traffic flow within designated parking areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Stay informed about all events to effectively manage traffic and parking logistics on event days.
2. Collaborate closely with the Parking Supervisor and/or Guest Experience Manager to optimize traffic flow and allocate parking spaces as needed.
3. Acquire thorough knowledge of the layout and operational procedures of each parking lot.
4. Prohibit unauthorized distribution of promotional materials within parking areas.
5. Handle payment transactions while verifying permits using assigned equipment.
6. Manage the check-out and check-in process for uniforms, safety vests, keys, radios, and other necessary equipment.
7. Assist guests experiencing vehicle-related issues during events.
8. Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, employees, exhibitors, and guests.
9. Strive to deliver exceptional service to every client, guest, and vendor.
10. Report to the Parking Supervisor and/or Guest Experience Manager in the appropriate uniform and participate in pre-event briefings.
11. Follow both verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
12. Foster positive working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and guests.
13. Adapt to changing situations as they arise.
14. Availability to work various events, including but not limited to sporting events.
15. Regular attendance is a fundamental requirement of this role.
16. Position requires flexibility to work at all local ASM Global venues.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including mobility around the facility, lifting, carrying, and enduring moderate to loud noise levels.
2. Capacity to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict schedules while producing accurate results.
3. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
4. Maintain a positive demeanor and professional appearance.
5. Ability to collaborate well with others.
6. Must successfully pass a background check.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Experience in customer service and effective communication skills is essential.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Maintain a customer-focused attitude at all times.
2. Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
3. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to quality in a team setting.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
5. Attention to detail is crucial.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role requires substantial walking, standing, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. The position is primarily outdoors, necessitating the ability to withstand temperature variations.
