Key Responsibilities

As a Host/Hostess, you will:

  • Warmly greet and seat guests, providing exceptional customer service and hospitality.
  • Efficiently manage the waitlist and ensure prompt seating.

Core Duties:

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times.
  • Greet arriving and departing guests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Exhibit professional phone etiquette.
  • Communicate effectively and utilize problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a polite and professional attitude consistently.

Guest Check-in Procedures:

  • Check-in guests according to established standards.
  • Keep an organized waitlist for guests.

Opening Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the waitstaff sections and their assignments for the day.
  • Ensure coffee and condiments are prepared and available for guests.
  • Verify that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.

During Operational Hours:

  • Assist with setting up silverware.
  • Help bus and reset tables as time permits.
  • Keep the newspaper area tidy and organized.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the entry rug.
  • Ensure promotional materials are neat and organized.

Closing Responsibilities:

  • Dispose of trash and ensure receptacles are re-bagged.
  • Clean and sanitize countertops and entry walls.
  • Wipe down glass doors and mirrors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure menus are clean and stacked neatly.
  • Water plants as needed and trim any dead leaves.
