We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Marcus Corporation. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation in our culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective kitchen management systems to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Lead and motivate a team of culinary staff to achieve exceptional results in food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu items and promotions that meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our customers.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food and waste.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to maintain optimal levels and minimize waste.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local food suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including labor, inventory, and utilities, to achieve budgetary targets.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve our culinary operations and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a similar size operation.
- Proven track record of success in kitchen management, including experience with menu planning, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and allergen control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of culinary staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
