Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will support the Retail Manager at a busy tire distribution center. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities related to the daily management of product transportation, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Key tasks include:

  • Organizing and categorizing warehouse inventory by product type and physical arrangement to optimize space.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, involving the physical handling of products weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of products from the warehouse to designated locations.
  • Acting as a backup driver when necessary to transport items between locations.
  • Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments in terms of quantity, size, and type, while reporting any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining all necessary documentation for deliveries and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Representing the company professionally in all customer interactions and adhering to safe driving practices.
  • Keeping accurate records for compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Operating powered industrial vehicles safely and maintaining any required certifications.
  • Performing routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks within the facility.
  • Prioritizing and preparing materials for order fulfillment.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to inventory management.
  • Complying with all safety procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • CDL License is advantageous.
Work Environment:

This position typically operates Monday through Friday, with potential for Saturday and evening shifts as needed. Employees may experience varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to temperature extremes. Regular physical activity is required, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking. Employees must handle hazardous materials and adhere to safety regulations.
