Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will support the Retail Manager at a commercial tire facility. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities related to the daily management of product transportation, receipt, delivery, and inventory control within a bustling tire center. Key tasks include prioritizing and selecting materials to fulfill orders, loading and unloading products from delivery vehicles, and managing the physical inventory within the warehouse. The position also involves driving medium to heavy-duty trucks over short and long distances to deliver various products while adhering to all safety protocols and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and categorize warehouse stock by product line and physical arrangement, ensuring adequate space for overflow.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, which may involve lifting products weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products from origin to destination as assigned.
  • Act as a backup delivery driver when necessary, transporting items from the warehouse to the plant or retrieving items from multiple locations for shipment.
  • Assist in verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing products in terms of quantity, size, and type, while informing management of inventory shortages and participating in periodic inventory counts.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for delivery orders is prepared and available for inspection, accompanying shipments as required.
  • Maintain a professional image of the Company in all customer interactions and through responsible driving practices.
  • Keep records in compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver logs and fuel purchase records.
  • Follow all Company safety policies and adhere to state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (such as forklifts and pallet jacks) and maintain any required operator licenses.
  • Perform routine maintenance and custodial tasks, including cleaning the loading dock and surrounding areas.
  • Prioritize and prepare materials for order fulfillment and loading.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including the preparation of necessary paperwork.
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and management.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • CDL License is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday and evening shifts as needed.
  • This position involves working in various indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, climb, lift, and walk.
  • Must handle hazardous materials and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Frequent lifting of 50-75 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.
