The Superintendent will oversee the field planning and management of bridge-related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to organize and plan project tasks.
  • Maintain direct oversight of labor and equipment time sheets, along with daily reports detailing quantities worked.
  • Foster and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Monitor crew productivity and set daily goals.
  • Review monthly cost reports, initiate field change requests, and prepare vendor or subcontractor back charges in conjunction with the Project Manager/Project Engineer.
  • Enforce quality control and adhere to Company safety policies throughout the construction process.
  • Ensure project timelines are met by following the construction schedule.
  • Conduct daily team huddles, stretching exercises, and weekly Tool Box Talks.
  • Provide Job Hazard Analysis prior to new work activities and discuss with the crew.
  • Develop material handling plans in collaboration with Foremen.
  • Identify additional work or changes in conditions and report to the Project Manager/Project Engineer.
  • Ensure collection and submission of delivery receipts to field engineers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the civil construction industry.
  • Proven experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production across all phases of bridge construction.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality.
