Your Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Geologist (VP Level) to join our team. This position involves engagement in projects with our Site Assessment and Remediation Earth & Environment Team, contributing to a dynamic organization dedicated to fulfilling client objectives and overcoming their challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance for the collection, identification, compilation, and analysis of geological data across various media including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air/vapor.
  • Plan and execute subsurface investigation projects, due diligence assessments, and other environmental inquiries.
  • Ensure documentation and recommendations accurately reflect geological analysis results and address long-term ecological and human health risks.
  • Assist project leadership in environmental site assessments, corrective strategies, and the classification of contaminated materials.
  • Deliver high-quality results that meet or exceed industry standards.

Your Impact

  • Guide data collection efforts for environmental data extraction, including soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Conduct comprehensive environmental site assessments (Phase I and II).
  • Lead site investigations, subsurface boring, trenching oversight, and groundwater monitoring.
  • Prepare intricate data visualizations such as mineral charts, soil analyses, and groundwater models.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding data integrity and documentation.
  • Draft detailed technical reports and presentations that elucidate research findings and recommendations for addressing environmental issues.
  • Analyze and interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data to inform action plans for risk mitigation.
  • Develop and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Engage confidently with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Oversee and guide cross-functional teams in executing project work.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience as a Geologist.
  • Proficient in geological research, investigation techniques, and measurement tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance practices.
  • Experience in soil and groundwater sampling via various drilling methods.
  • Project management experience with small to mid-scale projects.
  • Expertise in conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Experience with UST investigations and remediation.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated self-leadership and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional licensure/certification.
  • Completion of 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER).
