Cornerstone Search Group's Expansion and Scaling team has been retained by a leading pharmaceutical and medical device sterilization service provider to support their current dynamic stage of growth and expansion. Operating multiple state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, our award-winning client is well known for their quality, cutting-edge technology, and dedication to excellence.
About the Role:
The Operations Manager will have an opportunity to work alongside a team of well-established experts in the sterilization industry in an environment where there is an emphasis on collaboration, communication, and company culture. As a key member of the management team, the Operations Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Sales, and Executive Leadership to oversee and expand operations while ensuring the company is meeting production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a cGMP production and sterilization plant by overseeing daily operations of aseptic processing and sterilization of pharmaceutical materials to ensure completion of all processes as per schedule, with quality and compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, hosting audits, and leading facility shutdowns for maintenance and upgrades.
- Train and develop staff in lean management principles, aseptic techniques, and overall operational excellence.
- Qualify and negotiate with vendors to ensure quality products/services at a fair price without compromising standards.
- Contribute to problem-solving for critical manufacturing, quality, and compliance day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of B.A. in business, life sciences, engineering, or related field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with an understanding of sterilization methods and ready-to-use primary packaging is preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and a strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and integrate into a collaborative, team-based environment.
