Administrative Officer

This position is located at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to the organization, including budgeting and financial management, personnel management, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Provides budgeting and financial management for the organization, including budget formulation, justification, and execution.
- Manages personnel and procurement, including preparing procurement requests, evaluating proposals, and maintaining procurement and contracting records.
- Provides overall administrative management for the organization, including interpreting administrative policies, developing and implementing local policies, and providing advice to management.
- Makes funeral arrangements and receives requests for burial of veterans and their dependents.
- Performs public outreach as needed.
Required to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary to meet the needs of the cemetery.
Requirements- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
- Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
