Human Resources Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Business Management Associates, Inc. This role will involve processing various appointment and staffing actions in our automated personnel and payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of employee personnel actions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Guide to Personnel Processing Actions (GPPA) and payroll corrections, including History Correction Update processing (HCUP). They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex pay problems and determine corrective action.
Responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll/personnel actions in EmpowHR and the National Finance Center (NFC) databases
- Researching and resolving complex pay problems
- Providing advice on indebtedness notices and responding to employee questions
- Entering data into automated tracking systems
- Performing routine personnel management functions and responding to requests for information
Qualifications include a strong understanding of USA Staffing and applicant tracking systems, as well as experience verifying personnel documents. A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is also required.
