Cato Institute is seeking a skilled Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support to employees and management, including answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration, including processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, including maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including management and employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of libertarian principles and Cato's mission.

$49,000 - $58,000
