Shift Supervisor Overview

The Shift Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Sheet Metal, Paint Line, and Parts Department. This leader oversees daily activities, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity align with company and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain adherence to company policies and ISO QMS standards, resolving CPDs and upholding safety protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in processes, cost efficiency, and cross-training, staying updated on new technologies and equipment.
  • Leadership: Mentor team members, promote collaboration, and support personal growth, managing attendance, timecards, and shift schedules.
  • Customer Service: Provide timely support for production needs, collaborating with other supervisors to coordinate activities, and improving efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, with relevant sheet metal, paint line, and/or parts experience a plus.
  • Experience leading others over multiple shifts preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, fishbone diagram, and Six Sigma training beneficial.
  • Strong communication, people, and leadership skills.
  • Awareness of and willingness to follow/implement Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems with both people and processes.

Additional Info:

  • Pay range: $60-70K + 10% annual discretionary bonus.
  • Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Friday.
  • Location: 100% in office.
  • Type: Direct hire with full benefits.
