Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc. This is a senior-level role that requires a strong understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate and assist employees and managers on complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Recommend HR policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and compliance, ensuring all company policies and procedures are up-to-date with current employment laws.
  • Act as liaison with Aramark, oversee uniform order process, review invoices for discrepancies, and escalate any outstanding issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews, identify trends through turnover analysis, and conduct new hire orientation to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Maintain employee files, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and maintain I-9 forms and E-Verify administrator.
  • Assist with performance evaluation process, provide guidance and recommendations, and work on special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of human resources experience, with at least 1 year in a position of responsibility and accountability for employee relations and/or labor relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/human resources or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, client focus, and ability to collaborate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-based environment, plan, prioritize, organize, and manage workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues without detailed instruction or procedural guidance.
  • Strong knowledge of company philosophy, culture, and goals, as well as applicable laws and regulations, company policies, and practices.
  • Effective computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual; Spanish preferred but not required.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
