Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to join our team at SpaceX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and qualifying MEMS/semiconductor packaging processes for high-volume production.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop custom manufacturing equipment for packaging miniature sensors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Establish process monitors, pass/fail metrics, and implement process controls to ensure consistent quality.
  • Perform yield analysis and support process changes to improve yield.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials, or other engineering field.
  • 1+ years of experience in the MEMS/semiconductor industry.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or materials engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in the MEMS or semiconductor industry.
  • Experience transitioning MEMS or semiconductor devices from development to production.
  • Knowledge of advanced chip packaging and integration of multiple components in a single package.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on level and experience. Additionally, you may be eligible for long-term incentives, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits package.
