Lead Packaging Engineer, Sensor Development

This role supports the transition of new sensors from development to full production. You will be responsible for:
- Designing and qualifying MEMS/semiconductor packaging processes for high-volume production;
- Selecting or designing custom manufacturing equipment to meet product requirements;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues;
- Establishing process controls, metrics, and monitors to ensure quality and reliability;
- Completing yield analysis and supporting process changes to improve yield and efficiency;
- Supporting full product characterization, reliability testing, and qualification efforts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in the MEMS/semiconductor industry, with a focus on packaging and manufacturing.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or materials engineering;
- 7+ years of experience in the MEMS or semiconductor industry, with a focus on sensor development and production;
- Experience transitioning MEMS or semiconductor devices from development to production.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to support extended hours and weekends when necessary to support launch and critical project timelines;
- Must be willing to travel < 20%.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary for this role is $130,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
