About the Role

At SpaceX, we are dedicated to advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight. As a Sr. Propulsion Engineer, Additive (Raptor), you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing additive manufacturing processes for our cutting-edge spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive projects to enhance printer platforms' robustness and repeatability based on machine issues, failed builds, and sensor monitoring/data acquisition.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, develop, and test additive processes using powder-bed and powder-fed approaches.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements across every step of the additive process.
Requirements

To excel in this position, you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and/or project management experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience

We welcome candidates with:

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with operating additive machines, parameter development, and process control.
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repairing large industrial equipment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on your level and experience.
