We're seeking a highly skilled GNC Mission Design Engineer to join our team at SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA. As a GNC Mission Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing guidance and control algorithms that enable multiple spacecraft to cooperate and achieve shared mission objectives. Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 per year

About the Role

This is a high-impact role where you'll work across engineering groups, taking ownership of critical trades and design decisions. You'll collaborate with experts to solve complex problems, drive program-level requirements, and develop physics-based system-of-systems simulation software.

  • Develop statistical orbit determination algorithms that consume measurements from multiple sensors of various phonmenologies
  • Design and implement CONOPS and drive program-level requirements for large multi-vehicle missions
  • Communicate technical capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics, 1+ years of professional experience with modeling and simulation, and proficiency in Python or C++ programming languages. Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is also required.
