Job Overview

Car Pros Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated Office Manager.

Role Summary:

The Office Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Payroll and Accounting Department. This includes managing staff, assisting with payroll processing, reconciling benefits, navigating payroll software, and collaborating with department heads to ensure timely and accurate payroll management.

  1. Manage a variety of accounting tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Supervise the payroll department's daily operations.
  3. Guide payroll clerks in the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll.
  4. Work closely with department managers to ensure payroll accuracy and punctuality.
  5. Oversee benefits administration, including statement reconciliation and COBRA management.
  6. Maintain and update payroll records as necessary.
  7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  8. Address and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  9. Review time sheets submitted by department managers.
  10. Distribute spiff checks as required.
  11. Safeguard employees' personal information.
  12. Manage Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals.
  13. Provide proactive support to management and staff.
  14. Monitor financial lines of credit and manage flooring payoffs.
  15. Oversee corporate cash management and collaborate with management on cash flow forecasting.
  16. Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions.
  17. Direct the company's credit policies and collection efforts.
  18. Enforce company policies and ensure adherence to standards.
  19. Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  20. Establish and uphold internal controls.
  21. Review general ledger account reconciliations with external sources to ensure accuracy.
  22. Prepare tax planning and reporting information in a timely manner.
  23. Assist in vendor selection and manage contractual relationships.
  24. Recruit, interview, and train new department staff, while overseeing daily workflows and performance evaluations.
  25. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.


Experience in an automotive dealership is REQUIRED.


• Minimum of two years of payroll experience is necessary.


• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.


• At least two years of experience with CDK is preferred.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (minimum of 5 years' experience) is essential.

Benefits:

Eligible employees and their families can access medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability, and basic life/AD&D insurance after 60 days of employment. Car Pros covers 80% of basic medical (Kaiser Permanente), dental, and vision insurance for employees, with additional costs for dependents and voluntary elections. Employees can enroll in the company's 401k plan after one year of service and will accrue one hour of personal time off for every 30 hours worked.

Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 annually
