The Field Service Engineer II is responsible for the upkeep and quality assurance of sophisticated medical imaging systems for our clients. This includes system applications, quality assessments, calibration, operating system support, software troubleshooting, and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Support (75%):
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with high-end medical imaging equipment.
  • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Document customer service interactions and maintain internal service records.
  • Address challenges related to medical imaging applications, electrical components, computer hardware, and software, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Comply with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Conduct service, calibrations, and quality assurance checks for imaging systems in accordance with ISO13485 standards.
Technical Support (10%):
  • Provide technical assistance for high-end medical imaging equipment via online and telephone communication.
  • Engage with customers daily to ensure issue resolution and follow-up.
  • Monitor system performance and perform evaluations, troubleshooting hardware, software, networks, and system management.
  • Design and execute system load/stress tests; escalate application issues to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
Applications Support (5%):
  • Regularly collaborate with radiologists, technicians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to stay informed about new and existing imaging solutions and trends.
Software Support (10%):
  • Ensure continuous operational support for software issues related to X-ray and Vascular modalities.
  • Utilize Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) for viewing, archiving, and database management.
  • Prepare users through training programs and provide ongoing software support.
  • Offer online and telephone support for Windows and Linux operating systems.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of high-end medical imaging equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of network interactions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency on-call support.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing.
